Mum, Business Owner, Animal Wrangler + Flower Lover ......

Hello! I'm Alisha. The gal behind Illuminate Florist. I have been a Florist for what seems like a lifetime, with 20 years experience, flowering is certainly a big part of who I am. I live in the beautiful Central Otago town of Alexandra with my partner and three school aged children. 

I am not only an avid flower lover but am a sucker for farm life and all the lovely animals, I boast quite the collection! I love what this area has to offer my family and enjoy spending time out in our areas beautiful surrounds.

It's fair to say the last two decades have been a rollercoaster ride. Operating my own flower business whilst raising a little family in-between has never been a straight forward journey, certainly combining the two came along with its fair share of challenges. Yet the experience has been invaluable and taught me so much about being resilient and persistent in a field of work that I love! 

I have most recently worked in the lovely lakeside town of Wanaka as a head Wedding Florist, dealing with a range of high end Weddings + Events. The experience has been amazing and again fuelled my passion for not only floristry but in particular modern wedding floristry. So here I am, kickstarting another chapter of my floral adventure.
