A little about me.
I am a busy mother of three Children and I have lived here in Alexandra for much of my life. With a solid family network here I have always felt no need to go any further and I relish what this beautiful area has to offer my family.
I have an extensive background in floristry. At 18 I left school and went straight to work in a busy local florist shop under the wing of experienced florist Gail Banks. I enjoyed a very hands on approach to learning and was definatley thrown into the deep! But I soon learnt floristry came very natural to me and enjoyed the hands on learning approach. I also under went various training in Dunedin through the New Zealand Professional Florist Association where I completed my floristry exams.
Shortly after I purchased my first business. Gails For Flowers. I had just turned 20. I ran the Business for three years but I found the "business" aspect difficult and struggled to get my head around all the non floral aspects. I then decided to close my business to embark on love and soon after motherhood.
Theres a fair bit to cover in between but with over 15 years years experience in this industry and the ever changing floral trends I have seen and been part of it all. Now my newest journey illuminate florist and illuminate weddings is taking me on the next big journey of life with my biggest love. Flowers!
I have always taken pride in creating beautiful florals and relish the opportunity to be creating magic everyday.
